On this Lunar New Year…

I want to wish you health, happiness and the reminder that less is more. Thank you for being with me this past year both online and in person.  The connections I have made and relationships I hold dear have been some of the best gifts of 2022.  Now as we journey into 2023 together, I hope to continue my work encouraging us all to do what we can in the world of movement and health and cozy up to our own challenges.  Not in a settling sort of way, but with a curiosity and humility that continues to move us forward - embracing what we know about our bodies and what works for us and tuning into the subtle (and perhaps not so subtle) messages that are there to learn from.  That when needed, we invoke our "80 percent rule" focusing on not pushing ourselves to the end of our battery charge but giving ourselves grace to rest.  That when we have been pierced by pain or discomfort in the past we listen to it but do not succumb to fear of trying again or being open to a new way.  That when we succeed in an endeavor we don't call it "just luck" but give ourselves well deserved credit.  Above all this year, let us strive to LISTEN to our body and feed it what it needs at that time.  Let us keep to heart that the very next day it might need something completely different.

I wish you all the courage and hope to have a wonderfully inquisitive and joyful year.  See you on the mat!

In well being and love of movement,

Francine
